Spin off...<br />
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">The boy with
sandy coloured hair and dark red tinted eyes walked confidently along the
marble floor of the hall. Tonight, there was going to be a ball with all the most important people of the Other present. Sworn, Witch and Vampire alike began to filter in to the grand room. The chandelier glittered in the centre creating a fairytale scene. Kawal's 'father', Poliro, was hosting the event. Kawal was the only human he had ever bitten and the elder vampire had taken him under his charge due to his young age. The relationship between the 'parent' vampire and their 'child' varied so greatly it was impossible to generalise. Yet Kawal knew he had something special with his father.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">His father clapped him on the back as he stood
dutifully next to him. 'Kawal, I'd like you to meet the Vampire Lords of the
Grand Covens. This is..." Kawal nodded, and shook hands with the vampire
lords. He wasn't paying full attention to them, not that they cared. Tonight,
it was all about power. The Vampire Lords would have to unify for this plan to
work. When Kawal shook the hand of the final Lord, he felt his hand being
crushed. He made eye contact with the most volatile of the Lords, Inakai, he
did not care for The Law. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"Are your
Sworn showing up, Kawal?" his father asked, easily ending the
tension. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"They're
around." Kawal said with a wry smile. "Some are already here."
His eyes flicked to the corners of the grand hexagonal room. "They thought
it best to abide by the dress code." Tuxedos and dresses, the room
was vibrant with colour. His father chuckled. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"Ah."
His father said, his eyes locking on the double wide doors as the staff greeted
Robin and Sparta. Her hair was down in soft red curls, a diamond studded head
band on her head caught the light. A pale blue dress, almost identical to the
colour of her eyes, covered her to the floor and tied behind the neck. Her arms
were bear except for the thin bands that wrapped around her upper arms half way
down. Each had flowing tails trailed to her knees. She was stunning. Arms linked,
Sparta wore a standard tuxedo looking anything but standard. His tuxedo fit
perfectly, defining his well muscled body. They looked like they did this every
day. Perhaps, that's why they did look so good, because they never left their
skin tight, black attire.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">Robin floats
over to where Kawal and the Lords are standing. "Good evening,
gentlemen." she says flashing a smile. Three of the five are in love after
those three words, Kawal's father included. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"I'm sure
you all know Robin Snowscar and Leo Sparta." Kawal announced, giving the
men a chance to collect themselves and put their eyes back into their heads. A
chorus of greetings sounded and Robin smiled politely whilst Sparta moved to
the other Sworn scattered around the room. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">Kawal motioned
to join him when his path was intersected by a girl. One of the Lord's
daughters. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"You're
Kawal, right?" she asked twirling her dark hair around her finger. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"Yes."
He said, attempting to move round her.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"Dance
with me." Kawal wasn't sure whether it was a request or an order. She
swished her hair and offered her hand. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"Maybe
later." He said. Stepping past her, she watched as her mouth fell open. A
sly grin tugged at his lips. When he looked up, he saw Skye who looked gorgeous
dressed in a short purple dress. She stood next to another girl who was only
slightly taller than her. Her hair fell in coppery ringlets to her shoulders,
her dress was white and intricately laced. A delicate mask framed her startling
sea blue eyes. Wow. The Sworn were going all out. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"Skye."
Kawal said, walking over to her. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"Hey
Kawal. Chloe this is Kawal, Kawal Chloe. I hate introductions." she
muttered and shifted a little. Kawal grinned at Chloe who blushed a little
to his delight. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">"Chloe,
would you like to dance?" Kawal asked holding out his hand.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">“Um.” she
looked at Skye who wiggled her eyebrows and nudged her forward. “Sure.” She
grabbed his hand and the two went to the centre of the hall. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";">He slid into the
rhythm easily. Kawal knew how to dance, confidently he spun the girl around. She
danced with a grace and poise that was distinctive, even among the many trained
dancers in the room. It was true that dancing was a popular past time of the
vampires, but even so, all eyes were on Kawal and Chloe. Her white dress
glittered as it caught the light and the final note rang. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

I'm thinking about changing my name. Robin is my character she isn't me, she's got her own story now, she's beautiful and brave and well, not me. She's angry and twisted and admittedly it reflected me well at one point. However, it doesn't anymore. I think I'm going to change my name. I'm not sure. Scarlett Thundersong would be the name I took. I don't know anymore.Robin Snowscarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416569430616503103noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805543836212219784.post-8512173475935348212012-12-06T12:04:00.002-08:002012-12-06T12:04:45.317-08:00I'm Alive.My laptop survived the flames (literally). <div class="MsoNoSpacing">
“I don’t know where it is.” The man with dark black eyes
insisted pleadingly. Red tears distorted his face making him look even uglier.
Leather straps secured him to the clean metal chair and he struggles against
them weakly. The girl standing opposite,
Robin, raised a perfect red eyebrow. “I think you’re lying to me Sabre.” She pouted,
leaning towards him. Sabre recoiled into the chair, his snivelling echoing off
the cold stone walls. “Do you know,” she paused and a slow smile spread across
her face. “what I do liars, Sabre?” she purred, reaching for her belt. She drew
a knife and ran her finger over the tip with a grin.</div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
“Okay, okay!” the man wailed. “I dropped it, under the
bridge, south side.” His head drooped and he shuffled back in his chair
defeated. </div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
“See? Was that so hard?” she said softly and caressed his
skin gently. Sabre’s eyes widened the whites in a severe contrast with his
skin. Robin spun around and nodded to a guard. He moved forward drawing his
sword. Sabre’s high pitched scream echoed like a siren in the quiet of the
night. Then the world was silent.</div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
Robin Snowscar at just fourteen was a force to be
reckoned with. Her long, bright red hair and icy blue eyes were a signal of
trouble throughout the Other World. She pushed open the cell door and quickly
climbed the steps of the dungeon to the open plains of the castle grounds. The path to the bridge tapped as she walked
along it. Wind blowing her hair to the side of her face in an array of spikes,
Robin walked with her chin raised and a smile tugging at her lips. </div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
The castle was situated on an island, a very large
island. It had four bridges, placed at each point of the compass, connected to
the mainland. The keep itself was just
off centre and had stone walls surrounding it. Most of the island was grassland
and forest left wild and untamed. </div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing">
Sliding gracefully down the hill next to the bridge, she
wondered about the content of the box. She doubted Sabre had known about the
content of the box. Ducking under the
bridge she scanned the water and the bank before sloshing her hand around in
the water. Almost immediately she felt
the wet velvet, pulling it out of the water she frowned. The velvet was tied
together with a piece of silver rope and there was most definitely glass
inside. Unable to contain her curiosity she opened the bag. A small, dusty glass case was inside and a
piece of paper wrapped securely in the middle.
Turning it over in her hands, she studied it in wonderment.</div>

I write.<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
Divergent Fan-fiction</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The factionless lady walks up to me expectantly, her dirty,
silver hair knots down to her shoulders. Her pale, wrinkled, blue eyes are distant;
she’s looking towards me but not at me. Smiling, I hand over the bread that I
made her. Clumsily, she grabs it out of my hand and I see the black tattoo of
Dauntless under her wrist. “Thank you.” She says through a mouthful of food. I
press my hands into the pockets of my long, grey dress. “You’re welcome.” I
say. I want to ask her about Dauntless, about what it’s like to be free and
reckless - but I am not Dauntless, I am Abnegation. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The choosing ceremony was a year ago, it is a day I will
never forget. My hands shaking as I walked nervously up the steps, eyes on me
as I stood between the glinting coals and the smooth grey pebbles. The tangible
relief when my blood fell onto the cool stone and my parents small smiles. My
father’s chin tilted up in the only way he could show pride. Lastly, my
mother’s affectionate squeeze on the shoulder as I stand back in line with
them. It feels like yesterday.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
“Curious? Well, Dauntless isn’t exactly for the faint
hearted.” She says settling on a bench near the wall. Without warning, she
shoves her wrist in my face and I jerk back. Cackling, she speaks “See, expect
the unexpected as my old man used to say. I must be off now.” She stands
quicker than she looks like her age should allow and toddles away.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I wonder briefly what
my life would have been like in Dauntless. I recoil from the thought almost
immediately. <i>Violent.</i> That is the
word my mother used to describe them. <i>Selfish</i>.
My father had said. They are right, but I can’t help but wonder. Lost in
thought, I wander away from the factionless compound. I think their way of life
is beautiful. Living free, like birds. If only I could just spread my wings and
fly away. I reprimand myself, selfish thinkers cause conflict.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Darkness creeps upon me like mist, slow and subtle. Until it
was right in front of me I hadn’t even recognised the fence. The fence is the
perimeter no one goes out and no one comes in. I stare through the wires. I am
curious, but not curious enough. Ignoring my instincts, I shuffle closer it.
There is no movement that I can see, only blackness and stillness. Silence, it
is peaceful and eerie ant the same time. Feeling the breeze on my auburn hair,
I lift my face and close my amber eyes to enjoy the sensation. This is as close
to freedom as it gets.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
“Well, what do we have here?” a deep voice asks. I start at
the sound of the voice and open my eyes. “A Stiff out for a late night stroll.”
His booming laughter fills the night. He isn’t much taller than me, his dark
hair juts up from his forehead contrasting with his pale skin. Twisting around
his arm is a flame and two studs sit in his left eyebrow. <i>Dauntless.<o:p></o:p></i></div>

<br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
Rachel hadn’t been scared when the sickness came; she’d had
an eerie sense of knowing. Once her mother and father had begun to splutter
about the place and disgusting boils began cropping up on their bodies, she
killed them. She simply walked into the bedroom and stabbed them both with a
knife from the kitchen. Her younger brother, Nathan, he was like her. He knew. They had watched the news until the news no longer aired. Looked at the internet until the internet had crashed. The two packed a bag each; a good set of clothes, a bottle of water, a few
pieces of food and any weapons they could find plus the tools from the garage. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
They were so similar and yet so unalike, he had beautiful,
sea blue eyes and shimmering, curly, blond hair and she had shining, straight,
chestnut hair and pretty, hazel
eyes. They were complete opposites in that
respect, but both were kitted out in black and had an array of weapons in their
belts, they looked identical, a force to be reckoned with. They had even painted war paint on their
faces; this would have looked silly had it not been for the cold aura that
rolled off them in waves.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The sickness spread like wild fire and soon kids ran from
their houses in panic, unprepared and unguarded. Naturally, they either died or
were saved by the two. Rachel and Nathan had almost killed every parent in
their street and sent small teams of kids to raid their own homes. They were
set, for a while at least. Rachel spoke quietly to Nathan “We need to move, out
of the house and into the shop.” Nathan nodded in agreement and that afternoon
the rounded up the six surviving kids and walked them across the road to the
shop.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The shop was long, well stocked and there were two flats
directly above. Rachel sent Nathan and two of the eldest boys up to check them
out, while she handled the four smaller children. “Stay behind me.” She flung
open the shop door and was surprised to hear no noise. She checked every corner
when nothing was found she realised they must be upstairs. She settled the kids and ran up to the flats.
She saw the door busted off its hinges and walked in “Nate.” She called her heart
beating fast and pulling a knife into her hand. No answer came. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
She found the door, she could hear muffled sobs from behind,
and she opened the door gently. Nathan was on the floor and the other two boys
had their hands up and were stood against the wall. Quickly her gaze flew to
the boy who held a small gun pointed at the two boys. “He’s got his parents in
there.” He nodded to a door that the boy stood in front of. The boy raised his
chin slightly and Rachel stepped forward. “Stop moving.” He said but his voice
quavered, this boy was no killer, she could see it in his eyes. She stepped so
the brim of the gun was just above her stomach “Do it.” She said through
gritted teeth.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The boy faltered and dropped the gun, tears filled his eyes
and he began to cry “Matthew.” Rachel said softly, one of her boys came over to
console the smaller and take him out of the room. “Nate, Nate wake up!” she snapped at her
brother who roused immediately. He stood up shakily and shook his head “You
ready.” He nodded. Rachel undid the deadbolt on the door and the stench was
overpowering. One parent charged out the
door and Rachel’s knife flew straight into its forehead, it paused a second and
stared up at its head before finally collapsing on the ground.</div>
